Sabrina Owen didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming an attorney. Having graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology, Sabrina found herself at a crossroads. With the decision ahead of how to progress her studies in a way that applied her innate understanding of the human mind and experience, Sabrina decided that law checked the boxes.
Nearly twenty years later, Sabrina now finds herself as an established and passionate family law attorney. After graduating from the University of South Dakota School of Law, she went on to practice personal injury for a number of years, before making the transition into family law at a boutique law firm in Charleston, South Carolina, where she worked for 17 years. While Sabrina enjoys the challenges and problem solving involved in the family law process, she states that the most rewarding aspect is helping an individual through one of the most challenging seasons of their life, and getting them to the end of the process in a place that they couldn’t have imagined when the case started.
After living in the South for much of her adult life, Sabrina and her partner said goodbye to the humidity and moved to Portland, Oregon. Currently, they spend their days exploring their new hometown, walking around farmers markets, and according to Sabrina, “enjoying new outdoor activities without melting immediately upon walking out the door.”
