Conor Buie, Associate Attorney

Conor Buie is many things—an attorney, a family man, an outdoor adventurer, a music enthusiast—but perhaps most notable to his success within his field, Conor is somebody who is fulfilled and fueled by opportunities to find solutions for individuals who are in need of a helping hand.

Born and raised in Utah, Conor spent most of his childhood and formative years on the ski slopes. An outdoorsman and athlete, he developed a deep love for adventure and sport from a young age, which still holds true in his personal life today. Conor started his college career at Whitman College in Walla Walla Washington, and later transferred to Westminster College in Salt Lake City, where he earned his B.S. degree in accounting. Motivated to pursue law school, Conor attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2012.

When asked why he was drawn to law, Conor emphasizes that the law is complicated, and he saw tremendous purpose in being able to help people navigate these complexities, in hand lessening the burden of what is often already an emotional and overwhelming season of life. Knowing from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career which would allow him to help people within his community in a way that would have a lasting effect, and after dealing with family law issues within his personal life, family law seemed an obvious choice. According to Conor, family law is complex and often emotional, yet his ability to approach these situations with a level head to find straightforward and reasonable solutions is what makes family law such a meaningful and welcome challenge.

When not practicing law, you might find Conor hiking in the mountains with his family and dog, exploring the food scene within Portland, or browsing through vinyl collections at Music Millennium. Never one to take for granted the beauty and influence of the great outdoors, Conor loves living in the Pacific Northwest because of it’s proximity to the coast, the mountains, lush forests, or farmland. With so much to do and appreciate in this corner of the country, Conor couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.
